Down
A Short Story (Self-published)
Josh Stevens is trapped in a hotel elevator and can’t find a way out.

He’s tried ringing the alarm, hammering on the doors, yelling and calling for help, but nothing seems to work…

And then a disturbing voice comes through the intercom system, informing him the elevator is about to be called down to Floor T at the bottom of the hotel and someone is going to step inside with him – someone he shouldn’t look at under any circumstance. If he does – if he risks even the slightest glance – the consequences will be too horrific to imagine…

A Novelette (Self-published)
When 6-year-old Jack is hospitalised with a devastating and untreatable illness, his 14-year-old sister, Amelia, sees no other choice but to venture onto the Dark Web to try and find a cure. There, she soon finds the mysterious, Edgar, who claims to hold the key to her brother’s survival. Despite the severe risk, and with Jack’s condition deteriorating with every second, Amelia realises she has no option but to secretly meet with this shadowy inhabitant of the Dark Web to acquire his expertise. Nevertheless, as soon as she meets Edgar, his shocking appearance and bizarre behaviour does little to allay her unease and it quickly becomes clear his motivations for helping Jack might not be charitable after all. But Amelia must decide whether to place her trust in him if she wants her brother to pull-through, no matter what price she’ll have to pay in return…

Foal
A Short Story (Coming Soon)
It happens every night…in the early hours of the morning…the sound of the door opening downstairs in the hallway…wet lips creasing and folding across a mouth full of oversized teeth…the sound of snorts and bleats resonating against the walls, bestial and threatening…

The sound of the Donkey Man climbing the stairs.

Charles can always hear it coming when he’s left alone at night, but he can’t get away – he can’t move an inch – his arthritic legs won’t allow it, keeping his elderly body trapped in bed, helpless.

All he can do is watch the Donkey Man appear at the top of the stairs and disappear into the spare bedroom, where it stays for the rest of the night before leaving again…

Charles’s son and primary carer, Kieron, doesn’t believe him – he suspects his father is starting with dementia, another concern to add to a long-list while he works nightshifts to try and make ends meet.

But Charles knows what he’s seeing is real…that the Donkey Man has recently changed its disturbing routine and is becoming more and more interested in him, creeping closer and closer each night and simply staring at him with its vacant, milky eyes…

Why is it here?

What does it want?

And why does it feel like it wants to inflict harm…
